4. Qualifying Patient - THE legal resource for Michigan's Medical Marihuana Law. They have a breakdown of the Act, information for qualifying patients, doctors, caregivers, and lawyers, AND a free legal form bank. A huge thank you to Greg Schmid for doing this.

5. Michigan Medical Marijuana Patients - Ann Arbor based group not as extensive as MMMA, but it still has some great information.

6. On the physician front you have:
THC Foundation Medical Clinic - They are originally out of Oregon but have set up offices in 8 of the medical marijuana states. I've met Paul Stanford and feel very confident in his approach and I've also heard very good things about them from their patients.

7. Dr. Randy Ayres - Practices in Livonia, MI and is amazingly knowledgeable on how cannabis works on the body's systems. Not that the folks at THC-F are not, but Dr. Ayres spoke at Oakland County NORML's last meeting and knocked our socks off with his knowledge of how medical cannabis affects the body, but is also very aware on the policy side of the issue.

8. A new referral service has also sprung up for medical marijuana patients:
Qualifying Patient LLC- They will sit down with each patient, go over questions and concerns about medical marijuana, assist with the processing of paperwork, and explain and assist with the Michigan Department of Community Health (once procedures are set). Their office is located inside of Dr. Ayres' office. Their services are free, however, there is a fee from the physician for an evaluation. They can be reached at: QualifyingPatient@gmail.com or 1-248-835-7209. A website is coming soon.
9. Other things patients might be interested in:
A new grow store opened last week in Waterford. It is called Light Green Water. LGW is located in the Waterford Place mini- Mall. The address is 3662 Highland Road. That’s M-59 a quarter mile west of Cass Lake Road. Look for the Sav-A-Lot sign. For directions, there is a map tool on the website.

It is very new. They have some things in stock, but they are interested in building up the inventory to serve the neighborhood. So, if you don’t find what you like for your garden, just let the guy behind the counter know and it will be there for you in a week or two.
For a while, store hours are Wednesday & Thursday 11AM to 6PM, Friday 11AM to 7PM and Saturday 10AM to 5PM (guaranteed) and any other day/time the “open” sign is on. You can call ahead to check 1-248-681-0001.
